Released in October 2008, the Pokémon Countdown Calendar saw a rather limited release in countries such as Canada, Germany, Norway, Belgium, and the Netherlands, and sold exclusively in certain store chains such as Toys "R" Us, and via some online retailers. The calendar contains a fixed selection of 24 cards from various Diamond & Pearl Series expansions, plus one random Diamond & Pearl Series booster pack. All of the cards feature a foil snowflake stamp on their artwork; 23 of which are gold, one of which is silver.
